Western New York's local Restaurant Week is scheduled to run from March 8 through 14; smart foodies will keep those dates in mind. During that time, restaurants throughout the area will offer special meals for $20.10.
The event was first held in March 2009 with about 60 restaurants. Another restaurant week held in September 2009 involved more than 200 restaurants. The event is sponsored by the New York State Restaurant AssociationÕs local chapter with the purpose of increasing business and awareness in the independent restaurant community.
