Yosemite’s Chefs' Holidays® at The Ahwahnee®,
held each year in January and February, feature some of the world's
most innovative and acclaimed chefs. These culinary adventures provide
a showcase for the range of styles, personalities and trends that
characterize the American cuisine scene.
Featured in each session:
- a "Meet the Chefs" reception
- Cooking classes and demonstrations
- Behind-the-scenes kitchen tours
- Five-course Chefs' Holidays Gala Dinner, that includes 4 paired wines.

The 5th annual Marin County Pinot Noir tasting is an inspired effort to
preserve agricultural land in Marin County. Proceeds will benefit MALT.
The limited production Marin County pinot noirs include some marquee
names and some of California’s most promising new faces: Corda Winery;
Dutton-Goldfield Winery; Kendric Vineyards; Orogeny Winery; Pey-Marin
Vineyards; Point Reyes Vineyards; Precedent Wines; Sean Thackrey;
Stubbs Vineyard; Thomas Fogarty Winery; Vergari Wines; Vision Cellars;
and Willowbrook Cellars. A tasting of locally-produced foods will be
offered, too. Don’t delay, this event sells out quickly. Buy tickets online or at the door the day of the event.

Taste of Lafayette:
Seventh annual Restaurant Walk, 5:30-9 p.m. May 19. Wine Reception at
Lafayette Plaza, 5:30-6:30 p.m., tasting at participating restaurants
6:30-8:30 p.m., coffee and dessert at Lafayette Plaza 8:30-9 p.m. The
tour begins at Elam and Margaret Brown Plaza (corner of Moraga Road and
Mt. Diablo Boulevard). From there, ticket holders will go at their own
pace to any or all of the participating restaurants. Musical
entertainment at selected locations. Raffle prizes and auction. Shuttle
bus available. Limited to 425 participants. Downtown Lafayette. $45.
